Biography of Lecturer


Biography of Yuyun  Hendrety, M.Pd




            An educator is one of figure who acts very important in educational world because they have an obligation to educate students to get successfully and one of person who has that obligation is Yuyun Hendrety, M.Pd. She is an lecturer who has hobby reading but not a lot, travelling and singing. She can be like this; of course it is not free from her family background, educational background, career and achievements.
Firs of all, her family background, Mrs. Yuyun Hendrety, M.Pd is a person who is from Palembang. She was born in Palembang on October 23th 1980.  Her parents are the late Zed ranchman and Hj. Zahro. Mrs. Yuyun had already married with Nova subianto S.H. and they are blessed with two sons, they are M. Faiz Najmi and M. Azka Zafran.




The second, her educational background, Mrs. Yuyun had ever studied at Elementary school 165 Palembang. After that, she continued her study at Islamic secondary school number II Palembang and at Islamic senior high school number I Palembang. Further, in 2004, she got her under graduate degree at University of Sriwijaya after that in 2011, she continued her post graduate in Major English at Pasca Sarjana University of Sriwijaya.
            Furthermore, Mrs. Yuyun has experiences about her career, she had ever taught at Sriwijaya University languages institute In University of Sriwijaya. And now, she also teaches at University of Sriwijaya, MDP University, IAIN University and Tridinanti University.
In the last, her achievements, Mrs. Yuyun was ever become a presenter at Teflin seminar held by Pasca Sarjana University of Sriwijaya and also become a presenter at Sriwijaya University language education international conference held by FKIP University Sriwijaya.
Indeed, Mrs. Yuyun is a lecturer who has motherhood character, she grows becoming someone who responsible to educate another person that form from her family, education, job experiences, and performance. Next, the author hopes by this biography will grow another educator that is ready to be the next generation.

Using mobile phones in English teaching


Mobile learning: how students can improve their English anytime, anywhere

Using cell phones in teaching and learning process actually is needed by learners, especially busy learners who don’t have time to do teaching and learning process in classroom.  It motivate people to using cell phones to support kinds of learning especially language learning. There are many mobile apps available for English language students.

The style of English learning person can change by Usage mobile devices and apps. Using technology and language learning make a teacher creatively, has many basics or resources, materials of learning, and of course, has many chances to teach students everything of the worldwide. According to Emma Segev, she believes that technology is something that is important in the classroom. Many students who are using mobile learning to connect to the web to learn in anywhere and anytime. At the time, people would like to do something more quickly, inclusive of learning.

Emma Segev has a strategy in handle or motivates the learners that have a business, so she chosen to using mobile phones to promote her student to study anytime and anyplace. She introduces 5 wonderful of apps that can be used by students for additional exercise: British Council apps, Duolingo, Two min English, Game to learn English Powowbox and Real English.

But Emma Segev’d chosen Whatsapp, Ipadio and facebook groups that is used by her :  WhatSapp, a mobile massage that is used to send and receive messages (audio, video, images) and the students can design an audio, video etc, that they can create anything, then post anything in the groups and also request their opinion or response about it.

Ipadio, a apps that can be used to interview, record the lesson and send it for student’s friends that didn’t come in the classroom. The students can create anything (with photos, audios, poem etc)

A group can become solution to closed communication with student, the students and teacher can share the ideas, task, book reviews, songs, picture and etc, for example in facebook groups.

Indeed, the way that is easy for studying it is hoped we can ask for them to enable study in their business and it can be hoped to accelerate their progress. (Emma Segev.)
